Interesting facts about me
The name's Jay! I'm 36, married for 10 years and have a 7 year old son Ian (named after Ian Paice). I used to drum off and on for 14 years. Thinking of
taking up the keys or guitar.
I grew up with a Brother who was always spinning vinyl. Elton John, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Who, etc were always on. I prefer the "Elton John Band
years" and Rock of the Westies. But, I enjoy being immersed in the EJB harmonies and vocal overdubs. Dee and Nigel are WITHOUT QUESTION the most
underrated Rhythm Section in Rock n Roll History.
My fav EJB album is probably Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, but Tumbleweed Connection is a very close 2nd. I enjoyed seeing Nigel "come
home" again to EJ in 2000. The only time I saw EJ was in 1998 a couple months before my wife and I were married. They played Captain Fantastic and the
Brown Dirt Cowboy "the first since 1976 according to EJ talking beforehand on the Piano".
I played the drums from 1983-1997. I was self taught after taking up snare in 83 while in 5th grade. Ian Paice is my biggest influence as he is a left
hand dominant drummer. I have a guitar and an amp, but my 7 year old son wants a drum kit, so, I think I'm taking up drums again.
Non-musical interests - Played soccer for 14 years and root for Arsenal and Team Brasil. I am a huge fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers Football
and Basketball programs. I also am a fan of the Vancouver Canucks and took the wife to GM Place in Vancouver on our Honeymoon.
Heyas Vera. Call me Jay, even in threads. How are you doing?
I've been listening to a rare Tokyo 1971 concert of EJ's. I'd post a link to a download of it (it is Legal, just a Soundboard bootleg), but am
unsure if I'd cause trouble by posting it.
It is a MUST HAVE for any EJ band fan though. Right before Madman Across the Water. Older lyrics on Holiday Inn, the only time "It's Me That You
Need" was played Live.
Would it go over good? The website only allows non-Commercial Released material. Nothing "illegal" resides on the site.
